Health Care Aide 1 - CAD $20 - $24 / hour

Location: Delta & Surrey

Job Type: Casual/On-call

Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic care and assistance with daily activities.
  • Help with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Observes clients and their environments and reports any changes as well as unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge through involvement in appropriate work-related continuing education.
  • Completes and maintains related records and documentation such as communication books and progress reports, as required.
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12.
  • Class 5 BC Driver’s License and access to personal vehicle with appropriate business insurance coverage.
  • Food Safe Certificate.
  • Recent and relevant experience of three months or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Reliable, empathetic, and committed to providing excellent care.

Health Care Aide 2 - CAD $22 - $26 / hour

Job Type: Casual/On-call

  • Observes clients and their environments and reports any changes as well as unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • BC health care Aide License required.
  • Minimum one year experience working in a healthcare setting.

  • Class 5 BC Driver’s License and access to personal vehicle with appropriate business insurance coverage.

Licensed Practical Nurse Supervisor - Home Support - CAD $35 - $47 / hour

Location: Delta & Surrey

Job Type: Casual/On-call

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to general inquiries by telephone and in person; provides direction and information about available programs and policies.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to meet the needs of the client in accordance with competency guidelines, established standards of practice and current legislative scope of practice; share information and knowledge, provide direction, assignment and supervision to unregulated care providers, as appropriate.
  • Visit assigned staff in the client’s home to assess the skills and abilities of the staff to meet the client’s needs; maintain records of such visit; complete and maintain related records and documentation such as progress reports, observations and client charting; reports and respond to problems such as care issues, complaints, safety concerns by investigating and taking required action.
  • Perform nursing care and procedures and evaluate client outcomes; record observations and report problems and/or changes to designated staff for follow up; administer medications at assigned clients according to established policies and procedures, including medication reminders.
  • Supervise designated staff by assigning work and determining priorities, evaluating and providing feedback on employee performance and evaluations, determining training and orientation requirements and orienting new staff.
  • Assess service eligibility, facilitate the development, implementation, and adaptation of a care plan, deliver direct care, and provide care management to assist clients to manage their own care and navigate through the various services available within the community setting.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a recognized program for Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • One (1) years’ recent, related clinical and/or supervisory experience in a community health setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Class 5 BC Driver’s License and access to personal vehicle with appropriate business insurance coverage.
